A child’s health begins right from the time of pregnancy. When the fetus is developing inside the womb of the mother it is essential that the mother takes care that the baby receives the essential nutrients. Hence expectant mother need to have large servings of nutritious food in order provide sufficient nutrition to the fetus and deliver healthy baby. After the child is born he/she should be fed with breast milk for at least one year. There are charts indicating the ages at which vaccines are to be given, strictly follow these charts so that they would be guarded against the fatal diseases and would have better resistance power.

A child’s diet should include all the required nutrition that is essential for their growth. The essential nutrition can be attained through foods such as egg, milk, vegetables, fruits, poultry etc. A well balanced food is essential for proper growth and development of a child. Children should be regularly taken to a physician for a general check up to ensure that they are healthy. If they fall ill they should be immediately taken to the doctor for examination.
